ou're Invited to the ASHA Convention in New Orleans
2001:  A Professional Odyssey

Laissez les bon temps rouler!  That's a Cajun phrase for "Let the good times roll" and what you can experience when you register for the annual American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) convention in New Orleans, November 15-18.  This year's convention,  2001: A Professional Odyssey, gives professionals a chance to embark on a new era of discovery.

This year's exciting convention offers attendees hundreds of educational and scientific sessions to choose from, and the opportunity to earn ASHA and AAA continuing education credits (CEUs).  Attendees can participate in a variety of discipline-wide sessions focused on four major themes:  autism spectrum disorders; cross-cultural issues in training, treatment and research; literacy across the years; ;and brain behavior relationships.  In addition, attendees will get up-to-the-minute information from leading audiologists and speech-language pathologists, hear world-class keynote addresses, exchange ideas and network with colleagues from all across the U.S. and so much more.

New to this year's convention format are the two conventions in one -- one for audiologists and hearing professionals and another for speech-language pathologists and speech, language professionals.  The Audiology Convention at ASHA provides specialists within this field a chance to increase their professional knowledge in a more focused, audiology-specific setting.  In fact, audiologists will have their own exclusive headquarters hotel, networking events and dedicated meeting space.  What's more, there are more in-depth and relevant audiology topics,  daily audiology-specific keynote addresses and an audiology convention guide, to name just a few of the extensive features.  The Speech-Language Pathology Convention at ASHA will give professionals over 1,000 educational and scientific programs to choose from, networking opportunities, and the chance to hear from the experts.

ASHA has left no stone unturned!  In addition to advancing your career, you will have ample opportunity to experience the distinctive flavors of "Nawlins" with fabulous tours planned just for you.  This is your chance to enjoy a wealth of fascinating activities and sites, and some of the finest dining in the world.
