$1000 Incentive
Speech Pathology or Audiology Students
Planning Employment in Ohio Schools
Application Process
Speech-language pathology or audiology students graduating during the
2005-06 academic year from universities participating in the OMNIE Project
are invited to apply. Two financial incentives will be offered on a
competitive basis at each university. The applicant must complete
school-based practicum (student teaching) during the 2005-06 academic year,
and must obtain employment in the Ohio schools no later than September 15th,
2006.
Application materials must include:

Completed application form
·
Two letters of recommendation
--Letter from the student’s school practicum cooperating
speech-language pathologist or educational audiologist.
--Letter from a university professor.
·
College transcript
If
selected for award, applicant must provide evidence of school employment
(signed contract)

The
Committee will review all applications and prioritize selection of awards at
each university. Award selections will be made by October 30, 2006. All
decisions will be final. The Ohio School Speech Pathology Educational
Audiology Coalition (OSSPEAC) will be responsible for distributing awards
upon written direction of the Scholarship. Committee. The OMNIE Scholarship
Committee Chair will communicate with award recipients.
