Continuing Education

OSLHA sponsors an Annual Convention and co-sponsors many events throughout the fiscal year including Town Meetings which are co-sponsored with our Affiliates.  OSLHA also provides a Calendar of Events listing other seminars.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

Organizations may apply for ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and/or AAA (American Academy of Audiology) CEUs through OSLHA for their event/workshop if the following criteria is met:

1.    Contact the OSLHA Continuing Education Chair, Sara Wolosiansky, sarawolo@aol.com for CE information and a registration packet at least 3-6 months prior to your CE activity in order to have the ASHA/AAA logo and promo paragraph available for the printing of any brochures and advertising of the CE event.

2.    CE Information MUST be submitted to CE Chair no less than 50 days prior to event/workshop.    Any registrations received less than 40 days prior to the event WILL NOT be considered for co-sponsorship.

3.    Fee Structure
Group #1:  Organization pays ASHA fee (cost to OSLHA), plus fee for postage and copying expenses.  Eligibility:  A majority of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists employed by the sponsoring agency must be members of OSLHA.
Group #2:  If group is unable to meet the eligibility criteria of Group #1, the organization must pay the ASHA fee, additional fee as non-majority organization, plus postage and copying expenses.

4.    CEU registration request (2 copies) and payment of CE Fee must be received by OSLHA Continuing Education Chair before it is considered for approval by ASHA.  A separate payment for postage must also be received.

5.    Registration materials received LESS THAN 40 days prior to the event will NOT be processed/considered for co-sponsorship.
