  LICENSURE RENEWAL

  • All renewals must be completed by December 31, 2008, or a late fee of $150 will be added for those renewing anytime after December 31, 2008.  The process will begin in July, and the due date is December BUT the late fee will not go into effect until after our license expires 12/31/08.
     

  • Emails and letters will begin notifying licensee's next summer, as early as July.
     

  • All licenses will expire December 31, 2008.  Licensee's who do not wish to renew should notify the Board.
     

  • Continuing Education:  By rule you will need 20 clock hours and at least 10 of those hours must be in your area of licensure.    You may also access FAQ and the rules for more information at http://slpaud.ohio.gof/continued.htm

    New Rule 4753-4-01 (A) A licensee shall earn
    twenty continuing education hours (CEU) within the two-year period.

    *  This means CEUs will begin 1/1/2009.
    ONLY for THIS renewal where licenses expire 12/31/08 - Licensees will have from the date they renewed in 2006 until expiration of their license on 12/31/08 to obtain the required CEUs to obtain the required CEUs.

    *  Individuals who obtained their first Ohio license after September 24, 2006 will not be required to have any continuing education hours in order to renew.  those individuals begin collecting continuing education after January 1, 2009.
     

  • Individuals who obtained their first Ohio license after September 24, 2004 will not be required to have any continuing education hours in order to renew.  Those individuals must
    begin collecting continuing education after October 1, 2006.
