OSLHA  STUDENT MEMBERSHIP CHALLENGE

The Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association (OSLHA) is the association that represents speech-language pathologists and audiologists and the people they serve in Ohio.  Your membership in OSLHA allows your voice to be heard on issues of the profession that are important to you.  One of the goals of the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association is to increase student membership and participation in the organization.  As a member, you will receive many benefits, including representation in state legislative and government affairs, receipt of HEARSAY, the annual award-winning journal published by OSLHA, receipt of the OSLHA newsletter 7 times per year, eligibility to receive liability insurance at a reasonable rate, and the opportunity to attend the annual convention at the reduced rate to earn continuing education hours.  Membership can also serve as a great means of networking with professionals in your filed as you begin to think about graduate school or entering the working world!

As an incentive to increase student membership, we are holding a membership challenge!  All students who have joined OSLHA by November 05, 2007, will have a chance to win the following:

1st Prize: Membership to OSLHA for the 2008-2009 fiscal year (beginning July 1, 2008), registration for the 2008 OSLHA convention at the Hilton in Columbus, and a one night reimbursable stay at the Hilton during convention. (The winner is responsible for making the room reservation and payment but will be reimbursed after convention for a one night stay)

2^nd Prize: Membership to OSLHA for the 2008-2009 fiscal year (beginning July 1, 2008) and registration for the 2008 OSLHA convention at the Hilton in Columbus.

3^rd Prize: Membership to OSLHA for the 2008-2009 fiscal year (beginning July 1, 2008).

Winners will be selected after the challenge ends on November 05, 2007, and they will be contacted via e-mail to be notified of their prizes.  Names of the winners will also be published in Communication Matters.
