Our older students still enjoy seeing the pictures!
Learn from internationally renowned expert, Hanna Stroud, how to use engaging books with pictures to help your older students develop various language and literacy skills in ways that are fun and effective.
All who register can view live and/or watch the recording which will be available for one month. 2 Cont. Ed. Hrs. for All and CMHs for SLPs.
Picture books aren’t just for the early grades, they can be used as mentor texts to make connections to important language and literacy goals for all grades!
Let’s take a look at specific picture books and other amazing interactive texts that feature important skills for intermediate and advanced concepts. Along with seeing demonstrations of tons of effective and engaging strategies, each participant will receive a list of books, resources and extension activities to model, practice and master reading and spelling skills following a structured literacy approach. In person and online strategies will be included for whole group, small group, or one-on-one tutoring/speech therapy sessions.
